about glutathione

Glutathione is an antioxidant formed from the amino acid cysteine, glutamate and glycine. Virtually all cells have glutathione. This antioxidant is most highly concentrated in the liver, pancreas, spleen and eyes. Glutathione levels decrease with age. Glutathione has regulatory properties affecting melanogenesis and reduction of oxidative stress, it is considered protective against the aging process.
